The Southwest I-Corps Hub welcomed partners to the Texas Innovation Center, located at the University of Texas at Austin, for the Hub’s annual planning meeting on September 25, 2023. Partners, representing nine universities spanning five states, gathered to reflect on achievements within its inaugural year, goals for the next calendar year, and opportunities for further growth.
In 2022, Hub leaders set the goal of training 100 teams through five cohorts in the National Science Foundation’s I-Corps program. As of September 2023, the Hub has trained 91 teams through six cohorts. The Hub is expected to far exceed its initial goal of 100 teams by the end of 2023.
